Just as with the normal school day, the Guardian Angels program falls under the discipline plan of the school as it is a program of the school.

The student discipline plan for St. Mary Catholic School is based on the belief that St. Mary students are capable of making positive choices concerning their behavior and that these choices protect the rights of others, particularly as it relates to a safe and orderly school environment.

Honor Code

I will show courtesy through respect for others’ feelings, rights, time and property.

I will respect my own property and be responsible for my own behavior as an individual and as a member of a group.

I will work and play in a safe way.

I will use appropriate language and gestures in school and on the school grounds at all times.

I will take pride in SMCS and will help make it a good place in which to attend and learn.

Occasionally, students may make a choice that is contrary to these guidelines.  When this happens, students will be re-directed by the program director.  Repeated re-direction will be communicated with parents and further steps taken according to the behavior expectations set forth by the school.

St. Mary Catholic School reserves the right to exclude students from the Guardian Angels program if a family’s balance is more than $100.00, or a child’s behavior does not follow the school’s expectations.   The school will communicate any such decision with the family.

Parents will pay $2.75 per hour per child.

Parents will be charged beginning at 3:30.  This applies even for children who arrive late, unless they are out for detention, choir, Scouts, or other pre-arranged reasons.  Children staying in classrooms will be charged beginning at 3:30, unless parents or teachers pre-arrange otherwise.

Billing will be in the form of a monthly statement sent home with your child(ren).  The statement will list the dates that are included.  Please try to pay bill within 10 days. Forms of payment accepted include: credit/debit card, check, or exact cash.  Receipts for payment will be sent home with children.

If a family’s balance is more than $100.00, a note will be communicated to the parents by way of the student.  SMCS reserves the right to exclude students from Guardian Angels until balance is paid.

Make checks payable to:

St. Mary Catholic School

with a note on the memo area that states: Guardian Angels.

Payments can be turned in to the school office, classroom teacher, or Guardian Angels director.

Parents will need to sign out their child(ren) each day.  Children will not be allowed to sign themselves out.  Only those whose names are on the enrollment form (as authorized pick up persons) will be allowed to sign your child(ren) out.  If you need to have another adult pick up your child(ren), you will need to send written permission or call the director or school office in advance and inform them of the change.  This is for the safety of all the children attending Guardian Angels.  You may add authorized adults to your list at any time.

Children who are not picked up after school by 3:45 will be sent to Guardian Angels.  The starting time for billing will be counted as 3:30.  Parents of these children will need to fill out all enrollment forms and follow the billing schedule.

LATE FEES:  Guardian Angels operates 3:30-6:00 P.M. Monday through Friday on days school is in attendance.  Parents whose children remain past 6:00 p.m. must pay overtime fees of $1.00 per minute, per child.  Emergency contacts will be called to pick up these children if parents cannot be reached.  Guardian Angel services may be withdrawn and/or late fees increased if the overtime continues.
