YOU are the primary educators of your children
We are called, as parents, to be the primary educators of our children:
“Family catechesis precedes, accompanies, and enriches other forms of instruction in the faith. Parents have the mission of teaching their children to pray and to discover their vocation as children of God.” (Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2226)
We do not endorse a model of Religious Education that relies solely on teachers to form our children’s faith:
“Catechesis is a responsibility of the entire Christian community. This should not be the work of catechists and priests alone, but of the whole community of the faithful. The Christian community follows the development of catechetical processes, for children, young people and adults, as a duty that involves and binds it directly.” (General Directory for Catechesis, 220)
Furthermore, Adult Faith Formation of parents is a central goal of the PSR & CYM ministry:
“A fully Christian community can exist only when a systematic catechesis of all its members takes place and when an effective and well developed catechesis of adults is regarded as the central task of the catechetical enterprise” (Adult Catechesis in the Christian Community, 25)

Furthermore, we at St. Mary support MARRIAGE between one man and one woman. We believe that:
"The most important thing a father can do for his children is to love their mother." (Fr. Theodore Hesburgh)
As well as the mother showing love to their father, while keeping in mind:
“It takes three to make love, not two: you, your spouse, and God. Without God people only succeed in bringing out the worst in one another. Lovers who have nothing else to do but love each other soon find there is nothing else. Without a central loyalty life is unfinished.” (Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen)
